French beauty Julia Restoin Roitfeld and her adorable daughter, Romy Konjic, are charming in the latest campaign for Dior. Photographed by Pamela Hanson in Julia’s own home, Romy models the Baby Dior Spring/Summer 2016 Collection to perfection.

One of the cutest shots, shown above, features Romy in the bathroom helping to apply her mother’s eye makeup; you may remember her grandmother, Carine, sharing a similar recollection of her own mother, Nicola: "I think I was eight or nine years old. My mother was preparing to go out and she wanted me to help her put her eyeliner on. I remember very carefully putting on her designer eyeliner for her — it is such a strong memory…  It was the mid 1960s, and she was wearing a Pucci dress, and I was helping her put on her black eyeliner in a straight line. To be symmetrical can be difficult, so she asked me to do it." I love to see the Roitfeld dynasty continue in this way, brava!

The 23rd amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala raised over $25 million dollars with the highlight being the auction of 31 looks curated by Carine Roitfeld in the spirit of the disco era. The star studded event at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes featured Uma Thurman as mistress of events in Schiaparelli; Leonardo DiCaprio as auctioneer, offering bidders a chance to spend a week at his place; and Katy Perry, The Village People, Sister Sledge, and The Bluebell Girls performed live for guests. Among those were amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole, amfAR Ambassador Milla Jovovich, Harvey Weinstein, Dame Helen Mirren, and Faye Dunaway. Carine chose a très sexy black dress by Alexandre Vauthier for herself for the evening.

In her own words, Carine Roitfeld describes her vision for the eighth issue of CR Fashion Book, which takes as its theme “Made In America”:

"In the '80s, fashion created a fantasy around the American girl—athletic, toned, smiling, happy, gracious, and perfect. For me, no model was more iconic than Christie Brinkley—with her white teeth and blonde hair—and her image was so compelling that it set a new beauty standard. Now, suddenly, in 2016, we see the comeback of the American model, and I find myself so excited by the new generation of stars. From young icon Gigi Hadid and new muse Staz Lindes to fresh face Bentley Mescall and intense beauty Kayla Scott, a class of U.S.A.-born girls is seducing fashion with striking yet uncomplicated looks…

Each of them brings something very special to fashion: Gigi with her beauty and personality; Staz with her bohemian spirit and talent as an actress and musician; Kayla with her fierce, confident attitude, and Bentley with her innocence… Social media has changed the way girls become discovered and build on their success, but the DNA of the American supermodel hasn’t changed at all: she is still healthy, smart, hard-working, independent and always arrives with a smile… Our readers love fashion and follow models as closely as we do. I chose as muses some of the most inspiring American 'girls' of all time, who fascinated the world (and continue to do so) with not only their beauty and style but their wit, grit, courage, and intellect. From Sacagawea, who helped open a path to the American West, to Emily Dickinson, who rewrote the conventions of poetry, to Jackie O, who served as a global symbol of endurance and grace. There's something about these women that is unshakably inspiring. I hope you think so too."

Don’t miss your chance to add this work to your personal art collection, if the price is right… Julia posed as part of a project titled “Art For Love,” an exhibition of images by 32 photographers curated by Fabien Baron and organized by Moncler in celebration of their “Maya” puffer jacket.

When asked about the inspiration behind the puffer jacket as subject, Remo Ruffini, the president of Moncler, replied: “I chose the Maya jacket as the ‘subject’ of this project because it represents [the brand’s] heritage, and is at the same time so iconic that these master lensmen could interpret it as they wished. The exhibition features extraordinary images by masters of the camera who use their very own language to depict love as the bedrock of the life of human beings… It’s something really incredible because we gave [the photographers] the freedom; we didn’t give them any brief. We said you have to do exactly you, and that was really the key... You really see the jacket but in different ways. In some pictures it looks like a sports jacket, in some pictures it looks like a piece of art.”

The “Art For Love” images were exhibited privately at an exclusive opening event at the New York Public Library and the guest list was sublime: of course Julia Restoin Roitfeld was among the guests as well as Lucky Blue and Pyper America Smith, the current faces of Moncler, Franca Sozzani, Francesco Carrozzini, Giovanna Battaglia, Terry Richardson, Paolo Roversi, Pamela Hanson, Margherita and Teresa Missoni, and Eva Cavalli.

The proceeds from “Art For Love” will help to fund research by Carine Roitfeld’s favorite charity, amfAR, via their project Countdown to a Cure for AIDS. Julia herself wrote on Instagram: “So proud to be part of the @moncler x @amfar exhibition shot by @pamela_hanson and curated by @fabienbaron #artforlove #amfar New York Public Library.” The photographs are on auction via Paddles through 29 September, bid now for your chance to own this exquisite portrait of Julia Restoin Roitfeld.
