Anna Dello Russo: Jus De Noël

Carine Roitfeld features the inimitable Anna Dello Russo and her lovely new fragrance in the December issue of Vogue Parisj'ADR! The segment is titled "Jus de Noël" (or in English, Christmas juice) and appears below in French and English.

Protected by a stiletto lacquered in gold with a nod to Cinderella, mixing the aroma of vanilla and notes of almond, the first fragrance created by Anna Dello Russo is, according to the fashion editor of Vogue Nippon, "a pop gadget." A gourmand gadget imagined as an accessory for the end of the year (the ribbon is designed to be hung on the Christmas tree), available exclusively on yoox.com.

Visit Anna's web site for a video of the production of the new fragrance.

Carine Roitfeld: Choose Your Icon

In the January 2011 issue, Vogue Nippon includes a feature titled "Choose Your Icon" and being a woman with exquisite taste, Anna Dello Russo chose Carine Roitfeld as her icon. I am in love with this photograph of Carine by Karl Lagerfeld, the clarity of her strength and her femininity here is overpowering. Incroyable.

Vogue Paris Translation: Editorial, November 2010

Below you can read my translation from French to English of the editorial authored by Carine Roitfeld for the November issue of Vogue Paris.

While autumn is in full swing and the morale is the color of the sky, the desire for elsewhere and for freedom is felt more than ever. This alternative was inspired by a long flight, the destination any sunny paradise, this new issue of Vogue is a beach getaway. The fashion of the hour is the hippie revival and the bohemian spirit. Long skirt in lightweight cotton, abundant prints, disinhibited colorama, customized jeans, assumed nudity, cheeky kimono... Influences collide in a look universal and emancipated: More by Barbet Schroeder in the shaker with a scorching Japan, the skaters of Wassup Rockers, the evanescent Bilitis fashion of David Hamilton... Also in summary, an exclusive tour of one of the most beautiful houses in Malibu, the ocean just for you at 180°; a very personal encounter with the discreet Bambou, the last companion of Serge Gainsbourg, who joins her son Lulu on an album. Without forgetting a stop to the extreme at Burning Man, probably the craziest alternative gathering, where all creative sorts, freaks, nomads and golden youth find themselves in an endless quest for strong sensations. This is the change of scenery.

Vogue Paris 2011 Calendar Preview

Time for a new Vogue Paris calendar and thanks to the VP web site we have a look at the cover. It appears as though fashion did not actually play a role in this year's calendar starring Daria Werbowy wearing jewelry by Louis Vuitton and little else. Mikael Jansson photographed the 2011 calendar.

Roitfeld And Battaglia At Ultrasuede Premiere

The film Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston premiered in Europe last night at Notting Hill's Electric Cinema in London and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Giovanna Battaglia were among the beautiful people celebrating its release. Director Whitney Sudler-Smith tells the story of the life of Roy Halston, a veritable fashion legend famed for dressing the jet set: Jacqueline Kennedy, Bianca Jagger, Lauren Bacall, Babe Paley, Liza Minnelli, Elizabeth Taylor, Anjelica Huston. Hostess Kinvara Balfour shone in Halston amidst the glamorous guests screening the film including Sara Brajovic, Edie Campbell, Matt Collisaw, Andrea Dellal, Charlotte Dellal, Marina Hanbury, Nicky Haslam, Daniella Helayel, Fran Hinckman, Nellee Hooper, Annabelle Horsey, Stephen Jones, Dan Macmillan, Polly Morgan, Princess Tatiana of Greece, Marios Schwab, Amanda Sheppard, Sacha Volkova, David Walliams, and Matthew Williamson. The afterparty was conveniently located directly above the show at the Electric Club where the sounds of the 70s colored the night, paying proper respect to Halston's immense influence on disco fashion.
