The most recent issue of the Australian edition of Grazia features two short pieces with Carine Roitfeld which my friend Barbara Polyanskaya kindly spotted and scanned for all of us to enjoy. Merci mille fois, Barbara! In one spread titled "Women of Style & Substance," we see Carine in a variety of outfits with buying information for a few choice pieces that fit "the ultimate fashion equation: pencil skirt + hot shoe = smokin'." The other article, "The New It List," compares and contrasts the lacy underthings of La Roitfeld, La Madonna, and La Gaga as they embrace the pantlessness, formidable!

Roitfeld At Kate Moss Longchamp Launch

Last night at the Ritz Club in Paris, Carine Roitfeld celebrated the launch of Kate Moss' new collection for Longchamp along with 700 other revelers. I believe Carine is paying homage to Kate's golden touch with her sparkling outfit. The collection includes clutches, shoppers, and travel bags in twelve assorted styles, each named after Kate's favorite London spots such as Glastonbury, Gloucester, Goldbourne, Ladbroke, Soho. The bags will be in stores in London on February 11. Kate has been the face for Longchamp for four years. Among the guests were Kate’s fiancé, Jamie Hince, the Cassegrain family (owners of Longchamp), Sophie Delafontaine (creative director for Longchamp), the Princess of Venice, Giambattista Valli, Loulou de la Falaise, Maryna Linchuk, Audrey Marnay, Frida Gustavsson, Jean-Marc Barr, Delphine Chaneac, Clotilde Courau, Laurent Artufel, Vahina Giocante, Anna Cleveland, les Plasticines, and the Queens of Noize performed. Roitfeld And Battaglia At Paris Fashion Week

Not much time to write but here are a few quick photos to help with that craving for Fashion Week information. First we see Carine Roitfeld and Giovanna Battaglia pictured here together seated front row at Armani Privé. Next comes Carine striding through the crowds in the street, notice the incredible energy in this photograph. Finally we see Carine post-Dior talking with Olivier Lalanne and what looks to be a Voguette though I cannot confirm her identity.

Here Carine Roitfeld meets with France's industry minister Christian Estrosi between fashion shows to discuss their country's approach to discovering, publicizing, and supporting new French designers. France currently employs about 125,000 people in the fashion industry.
