Carine Roitfeld is in charge of styling the look of Chanel for the Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign and permit me to say that the latest ads are the cat's meow! Great Dane Freja Beha Erichsen models in her fifth consecutive campaign for Chanel as shot by Karl Lagerfeld and this time Carine has imagined her as a black cat. Street smart, kitty has climbed up on a stool in a photo booth, poised to kill any rodents that dare to come her way. La Roitfeld has adorned Erichsen in cat's nose and whiskers along with cat ears fashioned out of the signature Chanel camellias. I love the knit headwear, leather gloves, and belt that Carine chose to feature in the ad, these accessories will equip one to take on the fierce cold of winter in style. Unless of course you've been a good kitten and your tender owner makes sure you have a warm hearth upon which to curl... The other ad is strangely beautiful but does not really lend itself to description, see below.

Carine Roitfeld was spotted in Paris viewing the Givenchy menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2012 looking chic in Givenchy Fall 2011. In the photo above, Peter Dundas and Jefferson Hack shower Carine with affection at the Givenchy afterparty at L'Arc. Next week she will attend the Parisian fashion shows as a faux couture client for an editorial photographed by Paolo Roversi for W Magazine so we can look forward to that.

Summer has officially begun and I want to share with you a few fun photographs of Carine Roitfeld from my collection to celebrate the season. The candid shots are rare in that they show Carine attired casually: shorts, cropped pants, untucked oxford shirts, flat gladiator sandals, even lounging at home in a flowing caftan that would double perfectly as a beach coverup. Casual yet ever chic, that's our Carine. Happy Summer!
