Olivier Zahm is editing a book about Carine Roitfeld tentatively titled Album of a Woman of Fashion and he needs your help... Originally slated to release this October, Rizzoli pushed the publication date to next autumn and has invited questions from Carine's fans that she may answer in Zahm's forthcoming book. See Rizzoli's invitation here (and note that I have verified the request is genuine). If you have a personal question that you would like Carine to answer, send it to inquire@purple.fr and you may be one of the lucky few that receives a response from La Roitfeld herself. The Roitfelds At Haute Couture Fashion Week

Alas I have but time for a quick one: the Roitfelds are simply gorgeous at Fashion Week in Paris, see above. More to come as time and temperature! allow. Also check out the Vogue Australia interview 5 Minutes with Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in which she divulges loads of excellent beauty secrets such as using borage oil to protect and nourish her hair along with taking borage oil pills in the morning. (Yes, Tanya, I was thinking of you as I wrote this. As Julia herself says cats don't raise dogs. Full report to follow. <wink>)

Roitfeld As Richardson As Roitfeld

The eternally goofy Terry Richardson snapped these gorgeous candid shots of Carine Roitfeld, simply fabulous! I do not recall seeing her in a print like this before and it is surprisingly becoming. Perhaps "surprisingly" is a loose choice of words since everything is becoming on this woman. In the first shot Carine is relaxed and smiling, modeling her stunning new Dali necklace. The next photograph Richardson titled "Carine as Me… Me as Carine"... très comique. Be sure to check out Richardson's wonderful photographs of Dennis Hopper as well.

Roitfeld And Lalanne At Men's Fashion Week

Ana Clara Garmendia has captured a stunning photograph of Carine Roitfeld and Olivier Lalanne attending the shows in Paris for the current Fashion Week focusing on menswear. J'adore the bag Carine is carrying embroidered with her initials, chic and darling. If this heralds the return of the monogrammed button down... the Equipment shirt would look hot with my initials on the pocket, non ?

Hakaan Yildirim Wins ANDAM

Carine Roitfeld chaired the ANDAM Fashion Award committee this year which today announced Hakaan Yildirim as the winning designer. I guess La Roitfeld liked what she saw when she flew in during London Fashion Week just for Yildirim's collection. He will show in Paris now and must also open shop in France having won the ANDAM award. Upon learning that he had won, Yildirim said "This is so magical. We are honored.” The other designers chosen for the prestigious award were Mark Fast, Calla Haynes, Bouchra Jarrar, Francesco Scognamiglio, and Alexandre Vauthier.
