Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld Interview

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld makes a rare (and very brief) appearance in a video for Vogue Germany during New York Fashion Week in which the reporter interviews people on the street to find out which designers they are wearing. Carine Roitfeld makes an even briefer appearance walking by with Garance Doré but they don't really say much.

Restoin-Roitfelds In Black And White

I just realized that not many photos appear on the site of the Restoin-Roitfeld siblings together so here's a cute one of them at the Purple party. It's cool how they both chose to wear black with white tshirts in these ways. I love how Julia tucks the huge white tee into the skirt to tone it down; the red nails are a hot touch. Vladimir sharply combines the black blazer and the white tee looking classic yet laidback.

Battaglia Makes Best Dressed List

Style.com chose Giovanna Battaglia as one of their Ten Best Dressed of the Week for 10.05.09. Here she is pictured in Louis Vuitton head to toe with Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld though I actually prefer it when she wears something a little less formal, such as the two other looks shown here. I especially love how she can add so much texture and volume to an all black outfit, she has such a knack for fashion. Remember how I just mentioned that Giovanna has been partial to ruffles recently? See below...

How can one look so fluffy and yet so chic at the same time? Even totally casual in jeans and loafers, Giovanna still possesses a certain elegance that transcends denim and flats. If she keeps it up, I may need to change the name of the blog to I Want To Be A Battaglia!

Roitfeld And Battaglia At Purple Magazine Party

The charming couple Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Giovanna Battaglia were spotted at the Purple Magazine party. Giovanna certainly has a thing for ruffles right now, I can't remember the last time she wore an outfit without them. This time however she looks so refined and elegant, ultraclassic yet supremely modern. Though we can barely see them in this photograph, note the perfect accessory to that dress: the thigh high boots. The navy blue is a beautiful color on her, especially with the black boots. Vladimir is also looking classically modern in the white V neck tshirt and black jacket, very debonair.

Happy Birthday Giovanna Battaglia!

I'd like to wish a belated happy birthday to Giovanna Battaglia. According to my sources, this beautiful Italian turned 30 on Saturday, September 26. She spent the day in Milan with her boyfriend Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld lunching at the fabulous Bulgari Hotel. J'adore her birthday outfit, as always she looks so chic and elegant without being overdone. This is her first time celebrating her birthday with Vladimir, I hope that he got her a very special gift. Many happy returns, Gio!
