Vogue Fashion Celebration Night Recap

Apparently my intel was off: Julia Restoin-Roitfeld celebrated Vogue's special event Fashion's Night Out in New York, not Milan as I previously reported. She is pictured here with Zani Gugelmann as well as Genevieve Jones and Cécile Winckler celebrating fashion at Miu Miu's party at their Manhattan boutique. Everyone shopped late into the night while sipping champagne, surely this must have led to economic stimulation!

In Paris, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld did appear at Chanel as promised with the lovely addition of Emmanuelle Alt. As fate would have it, Fashion Celebration Night fell on Lagerfeld's birthday so the lucky few that gained admission to Chanel can say they partied with him on his special day. I read that a crowd of admirers followed Carine around the city as she made her way from store to store, what fun. Though I didn't see her on this video on Europe1.fr, it does give a glimpse of the vibe of the citywide fashion party. Celebrate Fashion Tonight

Tonight is the night when Vogue celebrates fashion around the world. In Paris, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld will anchor the Chanel store in what promises to be a unique shopping experience. Here is the news item from Vogue Paris regarding tonight as well as my attempt at translation.

Roitfeld In Milan For Fashion's Night Out

To celebrate Fashion's Night Out with Vogue Italia on September 10, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld will be in Milan at the Jil Sander store on Via Verri for the launch of their new fragrance, Jil. Julia will host the evening with cocktails and a DJ set by Marcello Brulon sure to please guests. Here's the description in Italian from the agenda on the Vogue web site:

Restoin-Roitfeld And Konjic In Croatia

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Robert Konjic recently sat for an interview and photos with a Croatian magazine. The pair was visiting Dubrovnik for a few days because Konjic has roots in Croatia. I love the chemistry that the couple transmits in even these few photos together. If anyone can translate the article, I would be eternally grateful for your help.

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld's Fashion Week Party

Of course Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld will be key in assembling yet another party packed with fashion and media stars during New York Fashion Week, taking advantage of the amazing crowd that is in town. Vladimir partners with Andy Valmorbida and Giorgio Armani to host a gathering to celebrate their opening—the Richard Hambleton Exhibition Party takes place on Tuesday, September 15 from 6 to 11 p.m. at 560 Washington St., Door 37E. Personally, I hope someone finds a way to wear this I Love Vladimir tshirt complete with rhinestones, très drôle.

Competing for partygoers' affections will be a few other intriguing choices on the same night. Irina Lazareanu, Becka Diamond, and Robert Verdi host What Goes Around Comes Around at 351 West Broadway; Coco Rocha hosts MCM New York Launch at Saks Fifth Ave; and Linda Evangelista and Maurice Ohayon host Ron Arad's No Discipline launch party at MoMA, his first major solo show in the country.

At least Pamela Love is playing it smart and scheduling her soirée for the next evening, Wednesday, September 16, when she and her friends will host a cocktail party at Milk Studios, 450 W. 15th St. to show guests her mesmerizing jewelry designs in a more relaxed, intimate setting.
