Vogue Paris Collections

Carine Roitfeld is in charge of three publications: Vogue Paris, Vogue Hommes International, and Vogue Paris Collections. Since I learned about the third one only recently, I thought I'd share it with you in case you weren't aware of this unique resource. Vogue Paris Collections includes photographs of the entire collection of hundreds of designers from all over the world complete with accessories. Yes, we can all view this material online for free, but there is something about this thorough and comprehensive printed display of the collections that cannot be matched by an online viewing. It is much easier to perceive the theme of a collection when you can see all of the pieces at once, side by side. The collections are typically arranged in order of show location and then alphabetically by designer for easy reference. Provided of course that you know who shows where, but this is also a wonderful way to reinforce that knowledge should one need a refresher. The next issue, Vogue Paris Collections Spring/Summer 2010, is due on the racks December 4 so be sure to get your copy of this limited edition collectors' item.
