Carine Roitfeld and other fashion luminaries have written essays for the new book titled Maison Martin Margiela, debuting in October 2009. This beautiful gem offers a rare glimpse into the creative process of the famously secretive designer. The clever cover—white cotton, embroidered— is a tribute to Margiela's calling card: the telltale tag that is anonymously attached to every piece his house produces, distinguished by its lack of distinguishment. color on color covers are usually the stand-by, thinking designer's go to solution when backed into a corner for something "conceptual"... but this cover totally vibes with Margiela's and that whole Antwerp 6's aesthetic and philo... LOVE.
