Carine Roitfeld: Festin

It seems that the editorial "Festin" (or in English, "feast") in the October issue of Vogue Paris has resulted in strong opinions. Mine is that only Carine Roitfeld could make food look so pornographic! Visit the photo gallery to see the entire editorial "Festin" featuring the beautiful Crystal Renn and a pile of meat which she eats with abandon. The photography is by Terry Richardson. What is your opinion of this editorial?

You are too quick, my friend! I was just going to email you, I remember you wanted to see this one. Would you say this is a meaty editorial, Kate?

Wow! It's a bit disgusting but at the same time extremely appealing?!?

I believe my opinion has been noted.

Kellina, yes, there is some meat to this. ;) (Also some carbs, but who's counting?)

Another racist kind of editorial by Terry Richardson. Shooting the curvy girl in front of food, how cliché...

Amina, disgusting and appealing, that nails it!

Indeed it is, Milla, duly noted.

Ha ha, Kate! Perhaps she consumed this as several small meals.

its totally awesome!!
I was losing respect for T. Richardson after the harrasment scandals and the always-the-same spreads of sexy girls, but his last works, esp. this one, are great!
vogue france rocks because of this kind of pushing-the-limits work
well, and Im a HUGE fan of crystal renn :D

I hear you on all counts, Luci! I definitely like this provocative editorial, it typifies the brilliant work that Vogue Paris continues to pump out and only served to increase my admiration for Mademoiselle Renn. Thank you for commenting!

Maya, sorry for the delay, I did not see your comment previously. I LOVE the jewelry in this shoot, it is my favorite part of the decadence! The flower rings — YES! Especially lovely.
