Vogue Paris March 2010: Rose Cordero

Rose Cordero looks stunning in Louis Vuitton as shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the cover of the March issue of Vogue Paris; the colors and textures of the photograph pay tribute to the military trend while transcending it. The entire image glows, perfectly setting off Rose's radiant beauty. I cannot wait to see it in real life, I hope the foil matches the green in her eyeshadow to accent her singular eyes. This is my favorite cover since the brunette Lara Stone issue last September, simply elegant. Perhaps the March issue will herald the beginning of my subscription by post that I received as a lovely Christmas gift back in December... fingers crossed...

Stunning is the perfect description!

Merci encore, Kate!

You know, I used to wonder why Bigelow named the tea "Constant Comment" but now I know: Constant Comments are just as necessary as caffeine to keep me going!! Though I prefer Earl Grey, I wouldn't trade your Constant Comments for anything—you rock, BBF!!

That is too funny!!

Carine should keep smiling - makes her look softer, as with most of us.

Positively HATE that LV collar thing. Hideous. Other than that, this is a very strong cover - Rose holds your glance and you feel her strength. Excellent.

PS - how are you?

Milla, again I must concur with your wise words! Carine looks softer and sexier when she smiles, inherently more seductive. She also seems to be pleased with her work which I find charming.

Regarding the LV collar, it is a bit off in this instance. Especially for one that dislikes logos, it is a surprising touch for Carine. How would you style her instead? How about one of the new faux tattoos gracing those delicate collarbones? Might play better to that tangible strength she transmits as you noted.

I am well, darling, and I thank you for asking. Et toi? Readying for Paris Fashion Week?

ive been trying to find this issue with no success so far!! (and I very rarely buy magazines)

in the us, i don't even bother to look for vp until the first of the month as it is rarely out ahead of time. i didn't find the february issue until the 10th or so. for some reason the distribution of vp always lags quite a bit.

also annoying is that apparently the same thing applies to subscribers! i was so grateful that my boyfriend gave me a vp subscription for xmas thinking i'd now get my copies in a more timely manner, but i have yet to see the first issue. amazon claimed i'd receive the MARCH issue as my first, but it's freaking the 24th already and... nada.

bottom line, if you really want the issue, call your local borders and b&n and ask if they carry it. be patient as booksellers know only about books, not magazines, but persist! if they do, ask if they'll hold a copy for you. if not, start checking after the 1st of the month.

bonne chance!
k
