Her hair!!! LOVE it! She looks a bit spaced out with the mask. No comparison to AdR's outfit which must have been the show stopper - see Jak & Jil post. Can't wait to see more photos and crazy outfits from that night!

This is THE best hair style she has ever sported. Love the curls, the warm tone of her hair and wow, what shine! Go Carine!!!

I agree, I love Carine's hair here! I think she looks absolutely gorgeous. I have not had a chance to look at other photos yet but I can't wait, thanks for the lead! I hate to hear that Milla does not approve of CR's entire outfit however. That does not bode well.

I just wanted to say that this site is absolutely genius and beautifully curated! I am a big big fan. I have added you to my blog favourites.

Keep it up x

What a party and what a line up! I just posted ADR because her outfit rocked and a lot of links to all the other party guests....One stop for lots of fun (wink wink).

I'm not surprised Milla is not fond of the outfit, hahaha. What did you think of the guests' attire? I too thought that some where a bit revealing too mucho, but Carine can show it of. Her guts make up for missing fabric ;-)

Bisous!

@Milla and what about Kate?!

LCT, I still need to see photos but I have seen ADR and WHOA! Mon Dieu, j'adore cette femme ! I supremely love that she took advantage of the occasion to dress her heart out. I must confess from time to time I even Want To Be A Dello Russo!

; D

Bisous!

I finally had a chance to take in Carine's outfit in full. The genius is stunning. The way EVERY element of her person and outfit works to create the whole is overpowering. I have stated before I think she is one of the greatest living visual artists and I stand by this. She is her own canvas. Funny her son dates a woman that is also gifted in this regard.

I have just seen the full picture, great !

Kellina, you're so right, CR is one of the greatest living visual artists. And always an artwork in her own right. So is AdR! I want to be a Dello Russo too!

I'm starting to feel rather left out here... Haha, I just knew you girls would love it! I suppose my tastes are a little more simple and understated. The thing I do admire about Carine is that you know she loves what she's wearing. 100% confidence at all times. I could learn a thing or two from her...

ADR - wow, wow, wow!!! She looks stunning! Despite not always liking her chosen ensemble, she amazes me by constantly standing out in a world of the beautiful and super stylish.

LCT - let's just pretend Kate wasn't even there! Train-wreck... :(

Hi, Maya! Glad you like and thank you for commenting!

Amina, a giant thanks to you for all the backup!!!! This theory interests me because I've never been a typical "fashion" person, I think it is mostly a bunch of overpriced useless fluff. But Carine's power and her own portrayal of it captivated me from the moment I saw her. I think the reason "I Want To Be A Roitfeld" more than a Dello Russo in the end is that Carine has a gift for creating this image so minimally. But both women are extremely talented and so much fun to watch.

Milla, darling, quite the opposite! The blog is not the same when you choose not to comment! Without your voice of reason, we would be completely over the top in our obsequious sycophancy! To be clear, I am not sure I love the dress Carine is wearing but she emblazoned her image in my mind by choosing to wear it — particularly since she chose to style it with the glamour hair and that mask. I am procrastinating right now partly because I want it to be at the top of the page permanently!!

; )

I firmly agree with your comment re ADR, she stands out in a tough crowd and yet she does not look bizarre for it, she looks beautiful, even like a sort of untouchable goddess from time to time, a living model. Love her entire philosophy, but for her. Like I said above, I prefer the minimalist approach.

Kate. Now that's bizarre. Any idea as to her intention?
