Elena, you are very sweet! I know that I speak for many when I say how much we appreciate this extra insight into Carine's life that you have provided. I hope it is okay to email you again if another nice interview like this is published in Russian. My sincerest thanks for your help!!

oh rednails! i don't think carine's lifestyle would necessarily suit such a pet. i think the animal would be unhappy living in her space in paris (if anyone could be unhappy in this beautiful space, it is a cat or dog! although there is a nice park across the street for walks...) and i don't think she has time to pay adequate attention to it. perhaps this is why no pets?

It's not secret that Carine is my favourite in the family, but answers 6-8 cement my feelings. She grew up with respect for others, which has enabled her to teach her children the importance of freedom. Love, love, love!!! There is nothing greater than respect and kindness towards those around us. What a great article - thanks for the translation Elena!

Right on, Milla!!! I am delighted to hear that you were affected similarly by this interview. I feel like virtually every answer here added to my own respect for Carine, no easy feat as you know!!

And "Kina" — how cute is that?!

Chic, chic, chic!

Of course no animals, they would leave hairs on her impeccable looks! Just had a dog as a houseguest for over three weeks and really she ruined all my outfits ;-(
And try walking in the park on your Loubies? C'est M!
Thanks for the translation!!! And again what's not to love about this woman!

Bisous!

Le Choix Trois!!! Thank you so much for your excellent observations, two more reasons dogs and cats do not work in the Roitfeld household... I did have a lovely black cat and since I typically wear black his fur was not an issue. However anytime I am near a light haired pet, eeeeeek! The dark clothing then acts as a magnet. Mon plaisir with regard to the translation and merci beaucoup for sharing your interest!!

Bisous

Babe, I love that quote also, "Chic, chic, chic!" Carine is at once hilarious and accurate in her choice of words.
