I Want To Be A Roitfeld: Please And Thank You

A lot of people are working hard here to make sure that I Want To Be A Roitfeld continues to please you. In honor of my 500th post, I would like to take a minute to thank all of them.

First, my sincerest thanks to all of the writers, artists, and photographers that have contributed to the site but especially to my witty and wonderful editorial team; as well as the talented illustrator who created our banner, Isabelle Oziol de Pignol (Accro de la Mode).

Next, very special thanks to my wonderful beau Michael who endures my endless IWTB chatter and encourages my endeavors constantly; please note that he was also kind enough to develop an Irreverent countdown clock for all of us, counting down the days until the release of Carine Roitfeld's biography — now proudly featured in the right hand navigation bar.

Finally, if you like what you see here, show us some love! Comments signify that someone out there cares about what we have to say so they are most appreciated, feel free to leave one now... Or if you are the strong, silent type, perhaps you prefer to express your feelings by following IWTBAR. In the area titled QUOI DE NEUF in the sidebar, by simply clicking on the icons you can elect to:

Whether or not you choose to interact in any of these ways, I hope that you enjoy reading along. Please visit often.

Bisous!

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld: Everybody Loves Julia!

The July 2011 issue of Vogue China features this striking editorial with Julia Restoin-Roitfeld titled "Everybody Loves Julia!" and it is true, we do! I love especially the high contrast images of Julia, the background and the clothing play together to perfection. Then of course the cat adds a fine strangeness to the mix. "Everybody Loves Julia!" is the vision of Nicoletta Santoro as captured on film by Max Vadukul.

I Want To Be A Roitfeld: Year Two

Today marks the anniversary of I Want To Be A Roitfeld, two glorious years of following the Roitfeld family: style icon and editrix extraordinaire, Carine Roitfeld, and her two brilliant and beautiful children, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld. It has been quite the exciting year and I love all of you for reading along with the fashionable adventures of the Roitfelds. Let's take a moment to reflect on a few of the highlights over the last year:

Vladimir presented several new art shows:

Julia kept busy with her work as model, art director, journalist, and photographer:

What a year! I would also like to thank every single contributor to the blog — the writers, the photographers, and the artists that lend their incredible talents to make the blog worth visiting, in particular I wish to heartily thank my brilliant editors for their wonderful words and their constant encouragement.

Most special thanks to my loverly beau, Michael, who constantly supports me in this endeavor — I could never do it without you, mtm, you pwn. Finally thanks again to YOU for reading this blog! You make it special by reading along and voicing your opinions, you are its raison d'être, you ROCK! Looking forward to another amazing year ahead with you!
